My mother went by ambulance to Rockyview hospital September 2024. Her symptoms were vomiting blood and passing blood through her rectum. She was very weak. This was an acute development over night.
She arrived at hospital and was left in Emergency placed along the corridor. I stayed until bedtime believing that she would have a room soon. Except when I looked down the corridor there must have been ten patients waiting
like her. I left and came back early morning to see her still in Emergency. It would be 30 hours before she was taken to a room to be seen by a physician. Time just slipped away and by time a specialist saw her and discovered she needed surgery she was dying.
My mom was an energetic happy and beloved by her family. She gave without asking for anything. She did not deserve to be left to die in a hospital Emergency centers corridor with others whom I do not know or their outcome.
She arrived in ER on Thursday and was dead by Saturday night.
The news at the time was that there were so few available health care workers due to cut backs by this UCP government. People were hurting and suffered. My mom suffered. Danielle Smith and her political agenda HURTS PEOPLE.
Your mom, your dad, your brother, your sister, your grandparent and my mom.
How is this allowed? How many people have to suffer?
M.A.I.D. has been stopped also so the suffering continues.
This is NOT Canadian this is not universal health care. When is the, rule of law, going to be reinstated in our Alberta, Canada?
