To whom it may concern.
In brief, I was referred to the Dianne and Irving Kipnes Urology Centre in Edmonton by my GP/Dr. prior to 18/April/2026. My GP was in receipt of the acknowledgement of his referral by the clinic 18/April/2026. It is now 16/October/2026
(6 months) and the only change has been that an acknowledgment of the referral is sent every 90 days confirming the referral and that I'm still on the wait list.
My condition has only gotten worse and makes it more inconvenient to leave my home and travel without being concerned I'll wet my jeans! Too say the least it is difficult on one's dignity and supply of dry underwear. My wife
is also getting short tempered about having to find a lavatory anytime we travel any distance from home. I'm trying to be patient and not rock the boat as I do not want to annoy the D&IK Urology Clinic and possibly get moved further back in the line. I also
recognize there may be other men in more urgent need of care than me. That only confirms that we are desperately short of Doctors and medical staff serving this area of expertise and/or enough facilities to serve the demand of our population.
Shame on DS and her UCP government MLA's. Alberta voters continue to support this government to their own demise. Maybe they'll be the next person waiting for care of a more critical issue than mine. Blame is on them, will they
then be able to accept the consequences of their choice?
I have no issue with forwarding copies of emails supporting the above noted referral if so required, I'm past public embarrassment at this point.
Thank you for your efforts in documenting and trying to expose and force improvements to our public health care system that this government despises in lieu of private health care providers.
